THE COSMETIC REPORT
September 27, 1996

The Cosmetic Connection is pleased to announce that The Cosmetic Report is now a weekly report, coming to you every Friday straight to your email box.

This week I undertook the sometimes grueling, often exciting task of finding a new skin care routine for fall/winter. The products I used over the summer are just too drying now that the weather is changing. If you are facing the same challenge, be sure to check out my reviews at "Heather's Wide World of Samples" at http://www.kleinman.com/cosmetic/tips.html. You can read the reviews of the products I tried, as well as which products I declared the winners.

Speaking of new products, I recently found a new version of an old favorite that is definitely worth mentioning. For two years now, I have been a faithful user of the Tea Tree Oil Blemish Stick from the Body Shop, a great anti-acne gel that comes in a tube with a sponge applicator. About a week ago, I discovered something better - a more concentrated version of the oil, also from the Body Shop, that you apply with a cotton swab. The bottle sells for about $3.50 US, lasts a lot longer than the stick, and is more sanitary because you use a fresh cotton swab every time. For that occasional breakout, I highly recommend this product.

Thanks to everyone who has signed the Cosmetic Connection guestbook. Before the end of this month, I will select two winners to receive a Cosmetic Connection Beauty Pack. If you have not yet signed the guestbook and would like to be eligible to win this month, you still have a few days to give me your comments!

For the close of this week's report, I'd like to introduce The Cosmetic Poll, a periodic survey on beauty-related topics. The results of every poll will be shared in the following month's report. This month's question is: How much do you spend on cosmetics every month (on the average)? Please email your answer to me at heather@kleinman.com. All names and personal information will remain strictly confidential.
